Intermittent reinforcement is a manipulation tool used to control targets enmeshed in toxic relationships. It creates nervous system dysregulation, confusion and deep pain which keeps the target attached to the abuser via the addictive cycle of a trauma bond. A 2022 Harvard study showed that narcissistic traits in romantic partners are significant and unique predictors of PTS symptoms. This indicates that any other close relationship (family, friends workplace) can be subject to this kind of emotional devastation. In this short course we will explore IR and its effects - how do we get addicted to another person? What can we do about it?
Break free from the cycle of craving, confusion, and control — and come home to yourself.
